Most gold jewellery can be worn in the shower sparingly, including rose gold bracelets. But to keep your bracelet looking its best, it’s recommended to take it off before stepping in.
If you do decide to wear your jewellery—such as rose gold bangles or a diamond rose gold bracelet—in the shower, take care to keep it away from lotions and creams, as these can leave a residue.
To ensure your rose gold bracelet retains its gorgeous lustre, clean it with some mild soap and warm water, and wipe down with a dry cloth. Avoid wearing rose gold bracelets while cleaning, swimming, exercising or playing sports to protect its shine. Learn more about caring for your rose gold jewellery with our guide.
Made from a combination of metals such as gold, silver and copper, rose gold is quite strong and durable. So much so, it doesn’t require any additional plating layers. Over time, rose gold can change colour, becoming darker or slightly redder—this is the nature of this precious metal.
